A Home Away From Home

The Heart of Our Community

While Apna Saathi focuses on outreach and companionship, Apna Ghar serves as our physical anchor. It is a vibrant, five-room activity center designed to be a sanctuary of learning, creativity, and safety for our seniors.

Currently operating out of a thoughtfully developed facility, Apna Ghar is where the community comes to life. It’s more than just a building; it’s a space where silver hair meets new skills.

A Hub of Activity and Growth

We believe that learning should never stop. Our center is equipped to keep the mind sharp and the spirit engaged through:

  • The Library: A quiet retreat for bibliophiles, featuring a diverse collection of literature and daily periodicals.

  • Computer Training Centre: Bridging the digital divide by teaching seniors how to navigate the modern world, from video calling family to safe online browsing.

  • Craft Training Centre: A space for hands-on creativity, where traditional skills are celebrated and new hobbies are born.

  • Event Space: A central hall where all our workshops, social gatherings, and group activities take place.

Safety and Future Vision

We recognize that life is unpredictable. Apna Ghar is prepared to provide emergency and temporary accommodation for senior citizens who find themselves in sudden need of a safe place to stay.

Our Vision for the Future: The need for dedicated senior care is growing. Over the next five years, the Trust is committed to expanding this initiative into a full-fledged residential home. This facility will provide long-term care, ensuring that every senior in our community has access to a dignified, supportive, and loving environment.

millions in our country remain sidelined from the education system due to deep-seated economic and social barriers. Driven by the conviction that every child possesses innate creative potential—untainted by their circumstances—the founders of Apna School sought to provide a platform where this potential could finally flourish.

Launched on March 7, 2011, Apna School began its journey with just 11 students. These children came from the most marginalized sectors of Greater Noida, including the families of construction workers, vegetable vendors, and daily wage laborers. This grassroots initiative quickly resonated with the residents of Gamma-I, who stepped forward to offer their cooperation and support.

Despite the existence of government schools, these children face unique hurdles that make formal education nearly inaccessible:

  • Logistical Barriers: The distance to schools is often too great, and parents—consumed by the struggle for daily wages—lack the time to escort them.

  • Domestic Responsibilities: In the absence of parents, older siblings are frequently forced to stay home to care for younger children.

  • Seasonal Migration: Because these families must migrate wherever work is available, their lives lack the stability required for traditional enrollment.

Apna School exists to bridge this gap, bringing education directly to those who the system has otherwise left behind.
